Description
Duke’s Alley
You would have loved it.
The alley named after you in Waikiki where surfboards line up ground to sky creaking a magnificent wall of energy about to happen and snuggle to the ‘queens hotel’. Not only do the surf boards go high up in the streets, but they are all an inspiration for your athletic achievements. You were and still remain to be the greatest free swimmer in the whole world.
As the we wait for the tides to build up so we can surf in the wave and feel the breeze in our hairs, we are reminded that where we come from shapes who we are meant to be. You are the best example for that.
So take a walk in Waikiki’s Duke alley and don’t forget to chant a little thank you for the man that made surfing in the US known.
